Idaho Division of Veterans Service's - Administrator

David E. Brasuell
David is a Veteran with a combined 30 years of active and reserve service in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired on 1 July 2008 as a Colonel, with half of those years being active duty service. He was appointed the Division Administrator in August 2006.
In 2002 Colonel Brasuell was called up for operations in Iraq. He was assigned to the First Marine Expeditionary Force based in Camp Fallujah, Iraq, where he was the MEF Engineer. He was demobilized in December 2004. His overseas assignments/ duties include adventures on Okinawa (2), Cuba (2), Norway, Germany, South Korea, and Iraq.
While in the Marine Corps, Colonel Brasuell held positions overseeing logistics, operations, safety, training, facility maintenance and repair, facility management/planning, airfield support operations, project administration, coordination of staff functions, crisis management, security, facilities inspections, engineer operations and support and a number of leadership billets.
He obtained his undergraduate degree in Health from Oregon State University and his M.A. degree from Central Michigan University. 
Some formal schools attended include the Engineer Officer’s Advanced Course, Advance Logistics Officer’s Course, National Security Decision Making Course, Navy War College, and the Reserve Component National Security Course.
He was Chairman, Idaho Veteran’s Affairs Commission for five of the six years while involved in the commission, and is a current member of various Veteran Service Organizations.
