We are currently hiring classified full-time CNA's at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise. If you are interested in working with veterans and want to make a difference in their lives, then come join our team. We guarantee hours to full-time employees regardless of census. Evening and NOC shift employees receive an additional 5% shift differential.
 
Incumbents will perform personal nursing care for elderly residents and perform related work.

The Idaho Division of Veterans Services may require applicants to pass a criminal history background investigation after a conditional offer of employment.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
 
  • Performs personal nursing care for elderly residents.
  • Determines resident needs and takes and records vital signs.
  • Provides personal hygiene care and maintains a safe and sanitary resident-care environment.
  • Lifts, positions, transports, and escorts residents and assists with walking and other body movements.
  • Feeds residents who require assistance and implements individual resident treatment plans as outlined by supervisor.
  • Records resident care, reporting changes in physical or mental status to health-care team.
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary resident-care environment.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification:
 
  • Incumbents must posses a current Nursing Assistant Certification in the State of Idaho and be listed on the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry.
