LEGACY CORPS VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE COMPANIONSHIP TO ELDERS

SO THE FAMILY CAREGIVER CAN TAKE A BREAK AND TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES!

Supporting family caregivers enables them to provide better care for a longer time in their homes, where people want to remain!

Volunteers are matched with families close to their neighborhoods to visit each week (10-12 hours)

Schedules are flexible and accommodate vacations, school and part time employment commitments

Special Projects supporting academic and professional goals may be incorporated as part of Legacy Corps Service- just ask!

  • Volunteers become part of a highly trained, committed, compassionate and FUN group
  • Volunteers commit to one year of service, beginning with a 20 hour Orientation in November, and monthly training throughout the year
  • Volunteers receive a monthly allowance of $167 to off-set costs of their service
  • Education Award of $1538.00, to assist with student loans or future tuition. Volunteers age 55+ may gift this Education Award to a child or grandchild!!!!
