Prohibited entertainment use of Veterans Cemetery and neighboring Dry Creek Cemetery:

The Idaho State Veterans Cemetery and the US Department of Veterans Affairs' National Veterans Cemeteries are national shrines honoring the sacrifices of America’s Veterans and their families. Idaho Administrative Code; IDAPA 21.01.04 states the cemetery shall not be used for any form of sports, entertainment or recreation, other than use limited solely to designated interpretive trails. Recreational activities, such as biking and dog-walking, are not permitted. Recreational gaming, like Pokémon Go, is not permitted at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery and VA’s national cemeteries.

We request that visitors exhibit the respect and decorum of our cemetery and follow all laws and regulations governing access, behavior and proper cemetery etiquette when visiting the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery and neighboring Dry Creek Cemetery.

Idaho State Veterans Cemetery employees and representatives will continue to enforce rules and regulations to keep our Veterans, visitors, and employees safe, and allow us to fulfill our mission to provide dignified and honorable burial services for our Veterans and their families.
