James Roberts, Administrator of the Boise Veterans Home, has an open door policy and is happy to meet with you. Please schedule an appointment with James’ Administrative Assistant should you have any concerns or suggestions for improvements at the Idaho State Veterans Home, Boise.

James has been an administrator of long term care skilled nursing facilities since 1992. He began working in Skilled Nursing Long Term Care as an orderly (CNA) in 1970 as a way to pay for a portion of his college tuition. Following graduate studies in Cross Cultural Ministry at Western Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon, James spent 12 years working with the Friends church in Bolivia, South America. After completing an Administrator in Training program in 1991 James worked as Administrator of Holly Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Nampa, Idaho from 1992 to 2002 and as Administrator of Owyhee Health and Rehabilitation Center in Homedale, Idaho from 2002 to 2005. James has been at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise since January 1, 2006

In addition to his role as Administrator of Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise, James has served on the National Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators since July of 2000. His responsibilities with the board include serving on the National Exam Item Writing Committee for the administrators NAB national examination.

James and his wife Gail have been married 36 years and they have two daughters who are married.
